Why Lemont Is One of My Favorite Places for Fall Family Photos

As a lifelong Lemont resident and photographer, I might be a little biased, but I truly believe Lemont is one of the best places in the Chicago suburbs for outdoor photography.

Our town offers something that is hard to find in one location: historic architecture, small-town charm, water views, bridges, trails and beautiful natural scenery.

Downtown Lemont is especially beautiful in the fall. The I&M Canal, pedestrian bridges, tree-lined streets and historic buildings offer plenty of variety without requiring your family to travel far between locations. Local guides also highlight downtown Lemont and nearby forest preserves as great places to experience fall color and take family photos.

And for families who love a more natural setting, Waterfall Glen offers wooded trails and seasonal scenery right near Lemont (Bambrick Park is a hidden gem, too!)
